6 Day's of Fall: Food

Today is the first day of Fall so I decided to start my "6 Day's of Fall" series! "6 Day's of Fall" is when I upload a fall blog post, once a week, leading up to Halloween.

To start my "6 Day's of Fall," I decided to share three recipes I will be enjoying in the fall season that is found in the "Halloween" by Meredith Specials magazine. Photos of each description are below.

1. Pumpkin Hummus

The first recipe I'll be sharing is a hummus dip with shredded carrots to look a pumpkin. I grabbed all my ingredients: Hummus, Triscuits, and carrots. I took a spoon full of hummus and placed It on the plate of my choice and make a ball shape with the hummus. I took a carrot peeler and peeled baby carrots to make small pieces of carrot to place all around the hummus. I stuck a baby carrot at one end of the hummus and on the side had Triscuits. And that's all! It only takes 5 minutes!

2. Skeleton Bones

I bought Pillsbury crescent roll dough (local supermarket was sold out of breadstick dough) and rolled it up to make a breadstick shape, about 5 breadsticks. I took a knife and cut the ends 1/4 the way up and made a small slit. I then took my fingers and pulled apart the ends to make a "bone" shaped breadstick. I put the dough in the oven at 350 degrees for 9 minutes to make the dough golden. I poured hot pizza sauce in ramekins and took mini mozzarella balls for the eyes and 6 small pieces of mozzarella for the mouth. Assemble to make a skeleton!

3. Dracula Bagel Snack

I went to my local bagel shop and bought a cinnamon raisin bagel and toasted it till it was golden brown. I frosted the bagel with cream cheese and took carrots, pumpkin seeds, strawberries, and raisins to make a Dracula looking bagel! Voila!
