Review: reVive Light Therapy

Admit it, we all have dealt with acne that we can't find ways to get rid of or if you are like me and spend $70 dollars on the Glam Glow Super Clearing Treatment every few months. What if I told you there is a product a couple of bucks cheaper than the Glam Glow but lasts you forever? (say this in an infomercial voice ;)). The product I am talking about is the reVive Light Therapy Acne Treatment. Not only does reVive Light Therapy carry acne treatments, but they also make an Anti Aging Light, Wrinkle Reduction Light, Teeth Whitening Kit, Pain Relief Light, and the list goes on.

*I would like to thank Paris over at YCC Agency once again for sending over an amazing product for me to try out!*

About and How It Works:

-Paris sent over and informational sheet with the product that states: "It only takes 3 minutes to clear up your skin with reVive Light Therapy...The innovative LED Light therapy device is 100% natural...FDA cleared...Kathy Ireland Skincare by reVive Light Therapy offers cutting edge technology for every skin type, age, and tone."

-How it works: "The Essentials ($49) acne device has a 24 powerful, medical grade LED lights that effectively penetrates deep into the skin, targeting and destroying bacteria that causes acne flare-ups and other skin ailments...The handheld Essentials device features a USB cord for easy charging and has a contemporary and portable design- easy to pop in your purse or backpack...THIS IS THE ONLY ONE OF ITS KIND ON THE MARKET AND IS FDA- APPROVED"

This product is sold online at " www.revivelighttherapy.com and in stores at Target, Kohl's and select Rite Aid Beauty stores."

Review:

-At first, looking at the light product, I thought it would be gimmicky like the other light acne products, but let me tell you, IT IS NOT! I tried it out right away and saw results after the 3 minutes like the informative sheet said. My skin went from red and containing some acne to clear and the redness slowing disappearing.

Before using the device^

After using the device^

-The first thing you want to do when using this product is to do a spot test on your arm to make sure you are not light sensitive. If redness does not occur after 24 hours, you are good to go on using the product on your face. Next thing you do is plug in the product and place the glasses that it comes with over your eyes and cleanse your face. Make sure to keep the glasses on at all times when using the product.

My favorite cleanser at the moment is the Ponds Cold Cream. Then set your timer on either your phone or a handheld timer to 3 minutes.

Lastly, uncover the device and place 1/4" away from the acne spot and keep it there without moving the device for the full 3 minutes.

You will feel a little stinging sensation when using the product, nothing not tolerable, so do be aware of that if you decide to purchase. After I use the product, I do like to moisturize because my skin is dry and sensitive so I want to keep it hydrated. My favorite moisturizer at the moment is the Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion.

-I feel like this works similarly to the Glam Glow, just a cheaper option, and I will definitely use this again. It is great for travel and taking care of those acne spots that just won't go away. I wouldn't use this product everyday since my skin is sensitive. I use this product every couple of days so that my skin has time to breathe before I treat it anymore. Overall, I do think this is a great product, and my skin is loving it.

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed the review!
