Stay In The Know:

New Drugstore Makeup

February 3, 2017

Hi everyone! Hope you are having a great day! Today I will be sharing with y'all 'New Drugstore Makeup' that I picked up from Target, Walgreens, and CVS. I have tried all these out and now I will be sharing my thoughts on these products.

Now on with the makeup:

Foundation:

-The foundation I picked up was the Maybelline Dream Cushion Foundation in 15 Ivory. When I bought this I wasn't sure if it was the right color because it looked a little dark, but after applying, it was a match to my skin tone. This foundation made the area around my nose a little cakey, but after letting the foundation sit, the cakeyness settled down. I will use it a couple more times and keep you posted on how I like it.

 Concealer:

-The concealer I picked up was the Milani Retouch + Erase Light-Lifting Concealer in the shade Fair. I loved this concealer but the only problem I had with it was the sponge because once it gets product on it, the harder it is to blend in the concealer on your face. It was hard because then the sponge will just keep transferring more product on my face. When you apply this, you should apply less because less is more.

Contour:

-This contour is Wet n Wild MegaCushion Contour- Café  'au Slay!  I was so excited to try this cushion contour because I love Wet n Wild and I have never seen a cushion contour before. There is only one shade to this so I don't know if it will work with all skin tones. This was a little dark for me and it also dries so fast that you have to apply it and blend the contour in immediately after application. So keep that in mind while purchasing.

 Highlight:

-This Highlighter is also by Wet n Wild and it is their To Reflect Shimmer Palette in Boozy Brunch. When I first purchased this, I wasn't sure if this would glow enough but after watching Eleventhgorgeous video on YouTube, I had a little bit more confidence in purchasing. I immediately fell in love the moment I swatched it! I was literally glowing to Mars! No glitter, just reflect.

 Eyeshadow:

-The moment I found out that Colourpop came out with their new pressed powders that came with a free magnetic case with a purchase of 4 eyeshadows, I ordered it! I picked up Liar Liar, Running Late, Come and Get It, and Criss Cross. These are so creamy and has tons of pigment for a $5 shadow. The best thing is that Liar Liar can double as a highlight as well! These are my new favorites!

 Eyeshadow 2:

-This other eyeshadow is by Revlon and it is their Colorstay Crème Eyeshadow in Black Current. I love how creamy and pigmented this is and the brush is not cheaply made and applies the eyeshadow better than using your fingers. I love this!

 Mascara:

-This Mascara is Maybelline's Colossal Big Shot Mascara Waterproof Mascara. This was honestly not my favorite because it clumped my lashes together. Its might be because of the mascara being waterproof and has different texture than the regular, but I got many compliments on this. I may need to experiment with this, but for now, this is not my favorite.

Liquid Matte Lipstick:

-This is Milani's New Amore Matte Lip Crème and Metallics. I got Pretty and Obsession in the Matte Lip Crème and My Soulmate in the Metallic Lip. I had high expectations for this but, these matte lip creme's did not fulfill it. The lip creme's clung to my dry spots on my lips and made it look very drying. If your interested in trying, I would recommend you to either add a gloss on top or exfoliate and moisturize your lips before application.

 Liquid Lipstick:

-This Liquid Lipstick is L'oreal Infallible Lip Paint in Spicy Blush. This is not a matte Liquid Lipstick, its more of a lipstick and gloss in one. This is very thick and very moisturizing. This is also highly pigmented and has a brush making it very easy to apply. I highly recommend you trying this!

Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!

Mia
