Hi everyone! Sorry for being M.I.A. lately (no pun attended) ;) but I am officially back and ready to blog it up! Today I will be sharing with y'all a silicone makeup sponge I recently discovered called The MakeupDrop. It is a tear drop shaded sponge made out of only silicone! At first I was a little hesitant to try it out, but now I know, I definitely shouldn't have been hesitant!
I would like to thank Jennifer over at The MakeupDrop for sending me a silicone sponge to try out! She is so kind and helps you with anything you need! I am so grateful I got the opportunity to work with her and her amazing brand!
Now on with the review!
- I used my all time favorite foundation, Maybelline Matte and Poreless foundation in the shade Ivory. I found with using this foundation and the MakeupDrop was that I was able to use less product since the sponge didn't soak up any. It took a little longer to blend than my Beauty Blender, but with more practice and getting used to, I'm sure the process would be much faster. I felt like it blended my foundation out pretty well, and was super easy to clean off!
-To conceal, I used my Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair. I also noticed I was able to use less product. I love how this sponge is a tear drop shape because the pointy tip was able to blend out my under eye concealer and blend out the concealer around my nose. And then, the fat end was able to blend out the concealer on my chin and forehead, and blend out my foundation. I felt like this also did a pretty good job.
Blush and Highlighter:
-For blush, I used my Benefit Lollitint and put a little dot on the apples of my cheeks. The blending process did not work as well as the concealer and foundation because it is a tint and it dried a bit faster making there be barely anytime for the MakeupDrop to blend. As for the highlighter, I used the Nyx Liquid Illuminator In Pure Gold. I felt like the MakeupDrop did a really awesome job at spreading the product out and make the illuminator shine to Mars.
Over all, I feel like the MakeupDrop did pretty well and I do recommend! Will you be trying this out?
