Stay In The Know:

Holiday Makeup Gift Sets You Can Still Get Before Christmas

December 22, 2017

During the holidays, my favorite things I LOVE to receive are gift boxes because I am able to try some different makeup/skincare products for an affordable price. Today I rounded up some gift sets that you can purchase in store or pay extra to get it before Christmas.

Huda Beauty Lip Set

When I went to Sephora a few months back, I picked up this set in the shade Muse/Angelic. The lip pencil went on really smooth and precise, and pigmented. The liquid lipstick was really "wet" meaning it went on very watery. However, it did dry down completely matte and non-drying. The last product in the set is the lip strobe and it is not sticky at all and went on very glossy and pigmented. I think this set is really nice and I love the packaging. For the price of $25, it's an amazing set, really good!

Glam Glow Supermud Set

I picked this set up last year and there still is a lot of product left!!! The size looks small, but a little product goes a long way so it lasts a very long time. Glam Glow makes amazing masks and skincare. This set includes the Clearing Treatment (my favorite acne treating mask), Gravitymud (peel off tightening mask), Youthmud (an exfoliating mask), and Thirstymud (a hydrating mud mask). I love how this set comes with 4 different masks that have different uses to them. This set retails for $69.

Becca Highlighter Set

My sister treated herself to this last year and she uses it almost everyday. The set comes with a pressed powder highlighter and a liquid highlighter. It comes in 2 shades, Opal (the one my sister bought) and Champagne Pop (my fave). The highlighter is VERY glowy and looks beautiful on. This does not show texture on the skin and comes in mini sizes so you can purchase this before committing to the full sizes. This retails for $20.

Too Faced Lipstick Set

I own all 4 of these products and I really enjoy all of them. Its a nice set to buy yourself or someone else who has been wanting to try Too Faced lip products for a reasonable price, $19. This set includes, a Melted Liquified Lipstick in Chihuahua, a Chocolate Melted Liquified Lipstick in Chocolate Honey, a Melted Latex in Hopeless Romantic, and Melted Matte in Drop Dead Red. My favorite of the 4 has to be the Melted Matte because it is long wearing, pigmented, and not as drying. The Melted Liquified Lipsticks are not long wearing at all, it is basically a pigmented gloss. The Melted Latex is a thicker, a bit stickier gloss formula that has a lot of pigment and does transfer. A lot of people say they don't like the Latex one, but I actually don't mind it all, I kinda enjoy it!

Tatcha Starter Ritual Set

I bought a set similar to this from Sephora and I love most of the products. The different sets includes, the Camellia Cleansing Oil (takes off your makeup), Rice Enzyme Powder (that you mix with water to create a paste to cleanse your face with), Silk Cream (moisturizer for dry skin), Essence Face Spray (plumps, hydrates, and smooths your face), Water Cream (moisturizer for oily skin), Ageless Renewal Cream, and Recovering Cream. Each set includes 4 products (every set includes the Enzyme Powder, Essence spray, and Camellia Cleansing Oil. The sets retail for $59. The set I bought included the Enzyme Powder, Water Cream, Camellia Cleansing Oil, and Dewy Skin Mist. The Enzyme Powder feels almost like an exfoliator and leaves my skin smooth. The Water Cream has a watery texture but dries instantly leaving my skin feeling hydrated. As for the Cleansing Oil, it was a little weird, it did not take all my makeup off meaning I went in with a makeup wipe and their still was makeup residue. Lastly, the Dewy Skin Mist looks great as a makeup setting spray, it leaves my skin very glowy and hydrated.

Smashbox Palette Set

I swatched this in stores and it was truly AMAZING! The eyeshadows are highly pigmented but blends out like a dream, and the highlighter set is very glowy and looks smooth on the skin. I own the highlighter palette in the set and I use it all the time. This set retails for $39.

Buxom Lip Collection

I own more than 10 of the Buxom lip creams and they are one of my favorite lip gloss formula. This does burn a little bit because its a plumping gloss, but goes away after a while. I have gotten a lot of people hooked on this gloss, so if you wanted to gift someone a set they will love, go for this! This retails for $59.
