Hi everyone! Now that finals are over and I can start blogging again, I am bringing back my Winky Lux reviews! A lot of you have requested to see reviews and Winky Lux featured on the blog, so here you go. If you have been following me for a while, you would know that the Too Faced scented collections are my go-to.. but since trying out the Coffee Collection from Winky Lux, I have changed my opinion. I will always love Too Faced, but for now, Winky Lux is taking over.
Coffee Eye Palette:
Let me just start off by saying that this is one of the BEST Winky Lux palettes ever! I was not the biggest fan of the Kitten Palette, but this one, is FANTASTIC! My new favorite nude palette! The palette has a total of 9 creamy and buttery shades. I love the soft wash of color this palette has and you can easily build up the shadows without the eyeshadow getting patchy. My favorite color combos in the palette are; Affogato, Cappuccino, Americano, Light & Sweet, and Frappe. I love to apply Affogato all over the lid to set the eyeshadow primer, put Cappuccino in my crease as a transition shade, Americano in the outer v area, Frappe on the first half of my eyelid from the corner to the middle, and Light & Sweet in the inner corner and under the brow bone. Also, when I want to incorporate the palette onto my face as well, I like to put a mixture of Cappuccino and Americano where I put bronzer, as well as use Light & Sweet as highlighter. I can't wait to start experimenting with the other shades in the palette as well.
Oh and did I mention that the eyeshadow palette smells like COFFEE?!!!
This also smells heavenly of coffee! The shade I received was Latte. I would say that this shade works perfectly for fair skinned folks like me, but I could have gone one shade darker since I love darker bronzer shades. The bronzer feels exactly the same as the matte eyeshadows in the palette and looks very similar to Cappuccino. This bronzer comes in 2 shades: Mocha and Latte. Hopefully Winky Lux does come out with darker shades for medium-deeper skinned tones. I love the chic gold packaging and the outside feels like either thin metal or plastic. The bronzer would look really good on display because the outside packaging is gorgeous! Back to the formula, I would recommend this bronzer to those that want a softer bronzer look that you can easily build up pigment.
Matcha Lip Balm:
During the summertime my lips are always dry and cracked, and since using this product I have seen a difference. I have been using the Chapstick brand chapstick for a long time but noticed it hasn't really made a difference. I love how this Matcha Lip Balm has skin loving ingredients such as avocado oil, coconut oil, Vitamin C, and Green Tea Powder. When applying this balm, the formula is very smooth and smells like delicious vanilla. My lips feel so luscious after applying and I am seeing a whole lot less lip wrinkles.
Overall- all three products were a hit for me and I know most of you will enjoy using over and over again. I can't wait to continue experimenting with the eyeshadow palette and coming up with different eye looks.
Thank you for reading and I hope you enjoyed!
